“If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan, not the goal.”

PNPA Cadets from MASIDTALAK Class of 2023 assigned at BCPO-TEU joined in outlining the traffic scheme for the upcoming Spring and Panagbenga Festival, led by PLT DAMONG and TEU team in coordination with the Traffic and Transportation Management Division (TTMD) of the city.
Cadets were exposed to the functions of the police during the engagement to learn how they prepare and plan traffic measures as part of effective event security management. Security and transportation are their top concerns as they prepare for the upcoming Panagbenga Festival and other significant events next month.
High-level traffic and security preparations have been made for the Panagbenga Festival that will be held in this city next month. Mayor Benjamin Magalong says that at a recent meeting, plans for traffic and security, as well as those for the Panagbenga executive committee and city government and line agencies, were laid out and looked at to see how they could be improved and made official. The Baguio City Police Office, especially the Traffic Enforcement Unit, and the Department of Transportation and Traffic Management will work together to make a plan for public advisory and public awareness as soon as possible. The traffic scheme will help reduce traffic congestion and make the public road passable for the public.
The eagerly awaited Panagbenga Flower Festival will resume in Baguio City in 2023, particularly after three years of the COVID-19 epidemic. In February, Panagbenga celebrates flower season. The event, dubbed "The Renaissance of Wonders and Beauty," which is set to take place from February 1 to March 5, 2023, also highlights Igorot culture to visitors who are expected to visit the city for the occasion. Because most of the major roads will be closed, the Cadet learned how the BCPO plan and work on it to provide alternate routes for the people of Baguio and the tourists who want to see the Panagbenga Festival. They can take public transit to ease traffic; since electric buses are currently the predominant mode of transportation in Baguio, they are a far more effective way to convey many passengers than a single vehicle. On the other hand, buses and jeepneys can carry more passengers rather than using their cars, which contributes to the number of vehicles operating in the town proper.
In conclusion, traffic management is essential to maintaining safety, order, and efficiency on our roads. As future Officers, we will play a vital role in upholding these principles and enforcing traffic regulations. Understanding the importance of traffic management and educating the public on traffic rules can help build a safer and more responsible community for all.
