Inspection

Updated: Feb 17, 2023

PNPA Cadets and Baguio City Mobile Force Company members, were inspected by PLT DICK K MANTILING, ODO, BCPO.

Surprise inspection is a regular practice to ensure the Police Officers operating the station are orderly and prepared. This activity aligns with BCPO's best practices, ensuring that all of the organization's offices and units carry out their regular responsibilities and must be present during the inspection.

In PCol Thomas Joseph Martir's words, getting rid of worn-out clothes will make Police Officers appear "more respectable," which is in line with the police organization's plans and programs. PNP employees have to dress appropriately because it shows that they have the qualities of a respected Police Officer, such as unity, discipline, power, authority, and being a model to society. [1]

Inspections are intended to assist leaders in determining the state of a resource or item and enforcing standards and discipline. Assessments that are carried out properly are essential for creating uniformity and standards.

The capacity of the training branch to turn civilian volunteers into professional soldiers is evaluated during the inspection. From their initial entry training to their arrival at their first duty assignment, the Army's experience will be considered. Ensuring that the new soldiers are prepared to serve, this inspection will also identify best practices from around the camp. [2]

This activity reminds me of the Cadet Corps' Saturday Ranks and Dorms Inspection. Dorm and ranks inspection evaluates the Cadets' bearing and deportment from head to toe. To uphold high standards and discipline among the Cadets, dorms and barracks are also inspected. Although it can seem like a simple duty, the Cadets had to put in time and effort to ensure that there would be no caution and to prevent demerits. The Cadets must also focus on keeping the rooms clean before the activity above because it displays their ability to maintain discipline. The Academy prioritizes the Cadets' behavior, often tested during the Saturday inspection.
